Entre-Deux-Mers.jpg) Literally ‘between two seas’ but actually between two rivers, this region has recently undergone a process of revitalisation. The clay-limestone terroir produces wines with a quenching freshness with intense fruitiness but also with persistent bouquets of citrus fruits and yellow flowers.
Littered with parcelled vineyards, most producers are members of cooperatives. These cooperatives are at the forefront of oenological research, as well as agronomics. They’re also the main reason behind the fantastic value for money this region offers.
The primary grape planted in this region is Sauvignon, while Semillon is often blended in to boost power. Muscadelle contributes its own wild, musky notes.
