Chateau Faugeres.jpg) The hamlet of Faugeres was inhabited at least as early as the 1500s, as attested to by the Renaissance window in a small stone house. It is the oldest building on the estate and in the following century there was a small hunting lodge in place.
It was only in 1790 that the central body of the current residence – a kind of Chartreuse in the neo-classical style – was erected. In 1823 it was purchased by the family of Pierre-Bernard. View our wines from Chateau Faugeres
